In the last 3 Blogs, I gave my thoughts & feelings about the Queens Bus Redesign. The Proposed Blue Routes are your Slect Bus Service Routes, The Proposed Purple Routes are your Limited/Get to the Subway as fast as Possible Routes & the Proposed Red Routes are the Better Connection Routes. This Blog, We will Discuss the Proposed Green Routes, which are your Proposed Better Serve the Underserved Routes.

The Current Q22 operates 24/7 between Roxbury & the Far Rockway A Train Subway & Far Rokaway LIRR Station. The Proposed Q22 would operate 17 Hours a Day between Rockaway Park Subway Station & Cedarhurst in Nassau County. I DO Support extending the Q22 from the Far Rockaway A Train Station & LIRR Station to Cedarhurst BUT would extend it to 5 Towns Mall in Cedarhurst. I DO Believe the Q22 should continue to go to Roxbury. As I said in My Blog reacting to the Proposed Blue Routes, The Q53 SBS Should NOT Be Eliminated. IF You are going to have the Q22 end @ Rockaway Park Subway Station, then EXTEND the Q53 SBS to Roxbury. This Route SHOULD operate out of the Far Rockaway Depot.

The Current Q24 operates 24/7 between Bushwick in Kings County (Brooklyn) & Downtown Jamaica in Queens County (Queens) via Broadway & Atlantic Avenue. The Proposed Q24 would operate 19 Hours on Weekdays & 17 Hours on Weekends between Bushwick in Kings County (Brooklyn) & the E, J, & Z Subway Station/LIRR Station & Airtrain JFK Station in Downtown Jamaica via Broadway & Atlantic Avenue. I think the Q24 should remain a 24/7 Route. The Current Q24 takes Atlantic Avenue to Van Wyck Expressway Service Road, Van Wyck Expressway Service Road to Archer Avenue & then Archer Avenue to its Current Terminal on Archer Avenue between Merrick Blvd & 168th Street. Leaving Jamaica, It takes 168th Street, Jamaica Avenue & Van Wyck Expressway Service Road back to Atlantic Avenue. I would keep it the same way as is. This Route SHOULD Operate out of the Jamaica Depot.

The Current Q37 operates between the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike E & F Subway Station & South Ozone Park. The Proposed Q37 would operate 16 Hours a Day. There are NO Real Changes to the Route. Currently, when the Casino @ Aquaduct is Open, the Q37 does stop @ the Casino, The Current Proposal eliminates that. I have 2 Proposals: 1. When the Casino is Open, ALL Q37 Buses in BOTH DIrections stop @ the Casino & when the Casino is Closed, ALL Buses Bypass the Casino. 2. Instead of Terminating by 130th Street & the Conduit in South Ozone Park, ALL Q37 Buses would take 130th Street to the Conduit, the Conduit to Lefferts Blvd & Lefferts Blvd to the NEW Terminal @ the Lefferts Blvd Airtrain Station. This Route SHOULD Operate out of the JFK Depot.

The Current Q54 operates 24/7 between the Williamsburg Bus Terminal near the WIlliamsburg Bridge in the Williamsburg section of Kings County (Brooklyn) & Downtown Jamaica in Queens County (Queens). The Proposal is to have the Q54 operate 19 Hours on Weekdays & 17 Hours on Weekends. I think it should remain a 24/7 Route because it serves SEVERAL Subway Stops. I DO Agree with moving the Current Terminal from 170th/171st Street & Jamaica Avenue to the New Terminal @ Jamaica Center. The Current Q54 operates along Metropolitian Avenue & Jamaica Avenue. The Q54 would still operate on Metropolitian Avenue. Currently the Q54 stops by the Shops @ Atlas Mall & It Should Continue that way. According to the Proposal, I DON'T See a Stop @ Metropolitian Avenue & Woodhaven Blvd, I WOULD KEEP the Stop @ Metropolitan Avenue & Woodahven Blvd. The Main Change to the Q54 is that it would travel along Hillside Avenue to 150th Street, 150th Street to Archer Avenue, Archer Avenue to the NEW Terminal @ 153rd Street @ Jamaica Center. Going to Williamsburg, the Q54 would take 153rd Street & Hillside Avenue back to Metropolitian Avenue. I FULLY Support this Part of the Proposal. This Route SHOULD Operate out of Jamaica Depot

The Current Q55 operates 24/7 between Ridgewood Terminal on the Kings-Queens County Line (Brooklyn-Queens) & Richmond Hill in Queens County (Queens) via Myrtle Avenue. The Proposal it to keep it 24/7 & to Extend it from Richmond Hill to 170th Street & Jamaica Avenue in Downtown Jamaica via Myrtle & Jamaica Avenues. I COMPLETELY SUPPORT this Proposal. This Route SHOULD Operate out of Jamaica Depot. The Current Q56 operates 24/7 between Broadway Junction in the East New York area of Kings County (Brooklyn) & Downtown Jamaica in Queens County (Queens) via Jamaica Avenue. The Good News is that they plan to keep the Q56 as it is now. This Route SHOULD Operate out of the Jamaica Depot.

The Current Q59 operates between the Williamsburg Bus Terminal near the Williamsburg Bridge in the Williamsburg area of Kings County (Brooklyn) & Rego Park in Queens County (Queens) via Grand Avenue. This Route would operate 19 Hours on Weekdays & 17 Hours on Weekends. There is NO Real Change to the Route. I would only change it to be a 24/7 Route since it does serve several Subway Stations. This Route SHOULD Operate out of LGA Depot.

The Current Q60 operates 24/7 between Sutton Place (East Midtown) in New York County (Manhattan) & South Jamaica in Queens County (Queens) via Queens Blvd, Jamaica Avenue & Sutphin Blvd. The Good NEWS is that they plan to Keep this a 24/7 Route. There are 2 Proposed Changes to the Q60. On the West Side, the Q60 will NO LONGER go into New York County (Manhattan) & will instead Terminate @ the Hunterspoint Ferry Terminal in Long Island City. I FULLY SUPPORT That because the Q60 will Now serve the Long Island City LIRR Station & HOPEFULLY there will be enough Ridership/Demand to increase Service @ the Long Island City LIRR Station. On The East Side the Q60 will Terminate @ Jamaica Center via Hillside Avenue-153rd/150th Streets. I SUPPORT this Proposal. This Route SHOULD operate out of Jamaica Depot.

The Proposed Q61 would operate 19 Hours on Weekdays & 17 Hours on Weekends between Columbus Cirlce in New York County (Manhattan) & East Elmhurst in Queens County Via 59th/60th Streets in New York County (Manhattan), Ed Koch-Queensboro Bridge, Queens Blvd, Roosevelt Avenue & then replace the Current Q33 Route to East Elmhurst BUT Instead of Terminating @ 23rd Avenue & 94th Street, It would Terminate @ Ditmars Traffic Circle outside of LGA Airport & where the Current Q23 Terminates. I Believe the Proposed Q61 SHOULD be a 24/7 Route since it serves SEVERAL Subway Stops. Other than that, I FULLY SUPPORT this Route. This Route SHOULD Operate out of LGA Depot.

The Proposed Q62 would Operate 24/7 between the East New York Area of Kings County (Brooklyn) & Cedarhurst in Nassau County via Liberty Avenue & Rockaway Blvd. I am VERY HAPPY that the Proposed Q62 will be a 24/7 Route, since it serves SEVERAL Subway Stops. This Route SHOULD Operate out of JFK Depot. The Proposed Q63 would operate 16 Hours Every Day between Astoria & Rego Park via Broadway. I would make this Route 24/7 since it Serves Several Subway Stations. This Route SHOULD operate out of LGA Depot.

The Proposed Q64 would operate 24/7 between Downtown Jamaica & College Point via Utopia Parkway. The ONLY thing I would change is to Extend it from Hillside Avenue & 164th Street to the E, J & Z Subway Station/LIRR Station/Airtrain JFK Station in Downtown Jamaica via Hillside Avenue & Sutphin Blvd. To Turn Around, the Q62 would take Sutphin Blvd to 95th Avenue to 150th Street to Liberty Avenue back to Sutphin Blvd. Going to College Point, the Q62 would take Sutphin Blvd to Hillside Avenue & Hillide Avenue back to Homelawn Street which goes into Utopia Parkway. I would add a Stop in BOTH Directions @ Cross Island Parkway & 160th Street & in BOTH Directions @ College Point Blvd (15th Avenue to Jamaica, 14th Avenue to College Point). This Route SHOULD Operate out of College Point Depot.

The Proposed Q65 would operate 18 Hours on Weekdays & 17 Hours on Weekends between St. Albans & Beechhurst via 164th/162nd/160th Streets. I Hope this Route can eventually become a 24/7Route. I DO SUPPORT This Route. I DO Recognize & Understand that there are People who DON'T want a Bus on 160th Street.  I have Looked @ the Map & I DO See a Problem. On 160th Street Between the Cross Island Parkway & Francis Lewish Blvd, It is ALL Apatments/Co-ops & I can See Parking will be a Problem. Here is a Proposal to Solve the Problem: Take 16oth Street to Willets Point Blvd, Willets Point Blvd to Utopia Parkway, Utopia Parkway to Cross Island Parkway, Cross Island Parkway to 166th Street & then take 166th Street to Beechhurst. Coming from Beechhurst, Powells Cove Blvd to 162nd Street, 162nd Street to 9th Avenue, 9th Avenue to 166th Street, 166th Street to 14th Road, 14th Road to Utopia Parkway, Utopia Parkway to Willets Point Blvd, Willets Point Blvd to 160th Street & then Continue along the rest of the Proposed Route. The other Issue is 164th Street & Hillside Avenue. Currently, There is NO LEFT Turn Allowed onto Hillside Avenue from 164th Street. Going to Beechhurst is NO Problem. Going to St. Albans, I propose 164th Street to Highland Avenue, Highland Avenue to 169th Street, 169th Street to Hillside Avenue, Hillside Avnue to Merrick Blvd & then Merrick Blvd along the rest of the Proposed Route. This Route SHOULD Operate out of the College Point Depot.

The Proposed Q67 would operate 24/7 between Ozone Park & Floral Park via Libery Avenue & Jamaica Avenue/Jerico Turnpike. Overall, I LOVE this Route. I Do Offer I Extention. Instead of Terminating @ Little Neck Parkway & Jerico Turnpike, Extend the Q67 to Glen Oaks. THe Q67 would turn on Little Neck Parkway & take Little Neck Parkway to Union Turnpike & take Union Turnpike to 260th Street & take 260th Street to the New Terminal @ the Glen Oaks Oval. This Route SHOULD operate out of the Queens Village Depot.

The Proposed Q68 would operate 24/7 between Jamaica Hospital & Lefferts Blvd Airtrain Station via Hillside Avenue, Liberty Avenue & Farmers Blvd. I FULLY SUPPORT This Route. This Route SHOULD operate out of the JFK Depot.

The Proposed Q71 would operate 24/7 between Springfield Gardens & Bay Terrace via 147th Street, Springfield Blvd & Bell Blvd. I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY this Route will be 24/7. I make 2 Minor Change to the Route. The Proposal has the Q71 operating on 58th Avenue, 223rd Street & 56th Avenue. I FULLY AGREE with ALL Buses Stopping @ QCC (Queensboro Community College) when the College is Open BUT I would have the Q71 follow the CURRENT Q27 to/from the College. The other Change I would Make would be the Eliminate the Portion of the Route that goes along 56th Avenue, Luke Place, 216th Street & 48th Avenue. ALL Q71 Buses would travel along Springfield Blvd & 48th Avenue to/from Bell Blvd. This Route would Operate out of the Queens Village Depot.

The Proposed Q73 would operate 24/7 between Downtown Flushing & Laurelton via Sanford Avenue, Northdern Blvd, Francis Lewis Blvd & 120th Avenue. I am VERY Happy this Route will be 24/7. This Route SHOULD operate out of Queens Village Depot.

The Proposed Q74 would operate 17 Hours Everyday between Jackson Heights & Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst. I propose to make it a 24/7 Route because it seves the 90th Street 7 Train Subway Station & it serves Elmhurst Hospital. This Route SHOULD operate out of LGA Depot.

The Proposed Q75 would operate 18 hours on weekdays & 17 hours on weekends between Byrant Park in New York County (Manhattan) & Woodside in Queens County (Queens). This Route SHOULD Operate 24/7 since it serves several Subway Stations. I Have Some Proposals to IMPROVE this Route. ON the New York County (Manhattan) Side, the Q75 would replace the Current Q32 to/from Penn Station. It would take the Current Q32 Route via 60th Street, 5th Avenue, 37th Street & 7th Avenue. It would drop off in front of Penn Station on 7th Avenue, Layover on 31st Street, Pick Up in front of Penn Station on 8th Avenue & take 8th Avenue to Columbus Circle, Central Park South into 59th Street to the Ed Koch-Queensboro Bridge. On the Queens County (Queens) Side, I would Keep the Route as Proposed BUT I would add an Extention. The Current Proposal is to terminate the Route @ Northern Blvd & Broadway. I Propose Extending the Route along Broadway to 61st Street, 61st Street to the New Terminal @ the 7 Train & LIRR Station in Woodside. Leaving Woodside, the Q75 would take Roosevelt Avenue & Woodside Avenue back to Northern Blvd & Continue along the Proposed Route. This Route SHOULD operate out of LGA Depot. The Propsoed Q76 would operate 19 Hours on Weekdays & 17 Hours on Weekends between the Williamsburg Bus Terminal near the Williamsburg Bridge in the Williamsburg section of Kings County (Brooklyn) & Atoria in Queens County (Queens) via Streinway Street. I Support this Route & the ONLY Change I would make is to make it a 24/7 Route since it serves several Subway Stations. This Route SHOULD Operate out of LGA Depot.

The Proposed Q77 would operate 16 Hours Everyday between Long Island City & the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst. The ONLY Change I Propose is to make it 24/7 since it serves several subway stations. This Route SHOULD Operate out of LGA Depot. The Proposed Q78 would operate 24/7 between the Roosevelt Island F Train Station in New York County (Manhattan) & Middle Village in Queens County (Queens). I FULLY SUPPORT this Route. This Route SHOULD Operate out of LGA Depot. The Proposed Q79 qould operate 24/7 between Rikers Island in Bronx County (Bronx) & Hunters Point Ferry Terminal in Long Island City in Queens County (Queens) via 21st Street. I FULLY SUPPORT this Route & this Route SHOULD operate out of LGA Depot.

The Proposed Q80 would operate 16 Hours Monday-Saturday & 15 Hours on Sunday between Astoria & Ridgewood. I FULLY SUPPORT this Route BUT would make it 24/7 since it serves several Subway Stations. This Route SHOULD Operate out of LGA Depot. The Proposed Q81 would operate 16 Hours Everyday between Astoria & Whitestone. I FULLY SUPPORT this Route & would ONLY change it to 24/7 because it serves several subway stations. This Route SHOULD operate out of College Point Depot. The Proposed Q82 would operate 17 Hours Everyday between East Elmhurst & Glendale. I FULLY SUPPORT this Route. The ONLY Change I would make is to make it 24/7 since it serves several Subway Stations. This Route SHOULD Operate out of LGA Depot.

The Proposed Q83 would operate 18 Hours on Weekdays & 17 Hours on Weekends between the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst & Howard Beach. I would make this Route 24/7 since it serves several subway stations. I would extend this Route to the Broad Channel A & Rockaway Shuttle Subway Station. This Route SHOULD Operate out of the Far Rockaway Depot. The Proposed Q84 would operate 17 Hours Everyday between Downtown Flushing & Bayside. I would make this route 24/7 since it serves the Flushing-Main Street Subway Station. I would also extend the Q84 from Northern Blvd & Bell Blvd in Bayside to the Queens Village LIRR Station via Bell Blvd & 217th Street. This Route, with MY Extention Proposal, SHOULD OPerate out of Queens Village Depot. The Proposed Q85 would operate 24/7 between Flushing & Fort Totten. I FULLY Support this Route. This Route SHOULD Operate out of Casey Stengel Depot.

The Proposed Q86 would operate 17 Hours everyday between Glendale & the Flushing-College Point Border. I would make this Route 24/7 beacause of the Subway Connections & Because it serves Booth Memorial Hospital. I FULLY SUPPORT this Route & this Route SHOULD Operate out of Casey Stengel Depot. The Proposed Q87 would operate 16 Hours everyday between Forest Hills & Little Neck LIRR Station. I would make this Route 24/7 since it serves BOTH the Subway & LIRR. I know there are People opposed to a Bus on 73rd Avenue BUT I FULLY Support this Route. This Route SHOULD operate out of Queens Village Depot. The Proposed Q88 would be a Howard Beach Loop via Ozone Park with 2 Versions of the Lopp. This Route should be 24/7 because of the Subway Connections. I FULLY SUPPORT this Route & this Route SHOULD operate out of the Far Rockaway Depot.
